The following is the text of an announcement released to the London Stock Exchange by Royal Dutch Shell plc on 25th July 2005.
Royal Dutch Shell plc (the ‘Company’) received notification on 21 July 2005 from The Capital Group Companies, Inc (“Capital”), pursuant to Part VI of the Companies Act 1985, that Capital has an interest in 309,904,493 ‘A’shares of Euro 0.07 each in the Company being 7.487% of the issued ‘A’share capital held as follows:
