The following is the text of an announcement released to the London Stock Exchange by Royal Dutch Shell plc on 5th January 2009
Further to the appointment of Mr Hans Wijers as a Non-executive Director of Royal Dutch Shell plc with effect from 1st January 2009, the following information is disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13.
Pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R (1) Royal Dutch Shell plc confirms that Mr Wijers is Chairman of the Board of Management of Akzo Nobel N.V.
There is no information to disclose pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R (2) to Listing Rule 9.6.13R (6) inclusive.
